The BAQ badge, a success in line with the elmec philosophy
This year elmec srl is one of the first industrial companies in the area to be awarded the important BAQ badge by Confindustria Brescia. What is it all about? Of the prestigious recognition reserved for companies ‘which distinguish themselves for the quality of the School-Work Alternation paths activated by promoting virtuous collaborations with secondary schools and vocational training centers.’
A decidedly important title for us, which rewards our commitment to initiatives in favour of a fruitful encounter between the world of schooling and the world of work. We have always cherished the responsibility of our company within the social network in which we are embedded, and we therefore enthusiastically welcome any project that allows us to involve new generations in the development of skills and new ambitions.
The goal of the BAQ is precisely to enhance those companies that choose to provide quality training paths, in order to concretely promote the placement of young people in companies and improve their employability. Raising the level of on-the-job training courses is an effective strategy for bridging the increasingly significant mismatch between labour supply and demand, a problem that tends to undermine the growth of Italian companies and the general health of the economic fabric.
The BAQ badge we have received is valid for one year, but we are already working to create new initiatives that will allow us to always be proponents of the school-to-work alternation for the Brescia area.
We are ready to welcome back to our departments young trainees like Soufiane and Marco, from the 3rd year of the ITIS high school, specialising in mechanics, or to see the dreams of young people like Oscar, who has become an integral part of our team after a nine-month internship in the company and a brilliant degree thesis focusing precisely on elmec, come true. But we will also return to take part in events such as Tecnicamente by Adecco, aimed at an increasingly productive exchange between companies and technical training institutes.
In short, the new school year that is about to begin means new interesting opportunities for us to make our contribution to our host territory and to its most precious resources–its people.
